The Performance Club was originally a social and online group dedicated to the arts of democratic criticism, conversation, and exchange surrounding live art, which I created while working at WNYC as a cultural critic from 2008-2010; most of what happened there is lost, because they failed to migrate it over during a web site update. I relaunched the site independently in 2011 with support from a Creative Capital/Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant, and ran it as a home for experimental arts writing operating within a constellation of artists, writers, and audience members. I am currently working to migrate those posts here, to create an archive of experimental art writing.
